The newspaper quoted its information from what it said were “sources familiar with the Security Cabinet’s deliberations on Monday night.”

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, it is still unclear whether Israel You will go to all-out war with Hezbollahafter launching a major attack against it on Monday, which led to the killing of hundreds of Lebanese and massive destruction of the party’s infrastructure.

The newspaper’s sources say that “no new decisions were taken during the meeting,” adding that “Israel remains open to calming tensions if Hezbollah is willing to reach an arrangement.”

The ministers said during the meeting that it was important for the Prime Minister to go. Benjamin Netanyahu to the UN General Assembly in New York this week, despite security tensions with Hezbollah, saying it was an “important opportunity” to win international support.

Hours earlier, Netanyahu’s office announced that the prime minister would indeed go to New York, but would postpone his trip until Wednesday night.
