Two minors were apprehended by members of the Paphos traffic police while driving on Monday evening. Additionally, one of the two tested positive for drugs after a test.
According to Paphos police spokesperson Michalis Nicolaou, the incident occurred when traffic officers responded to information and stopped two vehicles being driven by 16-year-olds.
The minors were taken to the police station, where it was found that the cars they were driving were also uninsured. Their guardians were called in for further proceedings.
The vehicles were confiscated, and the case is being processed under the juvenile offenders law.
