Xur Exotic Armor, Weapon, and Recommendations for April 19

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Week 2 of the Into The Light event for Destiny 2 brought with it two additions to the BRAVE Arsenal with The Mountaintop grenade launcher and Midnight Coup hand cannon being available to farm. Naturally, players have begun the quest to find the perfect roll of each weapon, as each has new and returning perks to pick from.

Alongside a week 2 refresh of content, Bungie also updated fans on changes that are coming soon to make the Onslaught mode more rewarding for Destiny 2 players attempting to survive all 50 waves. To incentivize sticking around, Bungie is increasing the chance for one additional weapon to drop at the end of a round, with the odds increasing slightly each wave until it finally drops. Not only that, fully finishing all 50 waves is also guaranteed to drop a weapon, meaning players can earn at least 2 guaranteed BRAVE Arsenal weapons either on Normal or Legend difficulty.

In the meantime, the weekend has arrived with the merchant Xur and an all-new selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players over the next few days. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of April 19, 2024.

Where is Xur?

Over the next few days, players can find Xur on Nessus.

Fast travel to Watcher’s Grave on Nessus and follow the path north within the zone. Xur can be found standing on one of the massive branches of a huge tree on the right side of the path.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur’s Exotic Armor

Starfire Protocol – Warlock chest armor

Exotic Perk:

• Fusion Harness – Fusion Grenades have an additional charge and recharge from empowered weapon damage, with empowered weapon final blows granting more energy. Defeating targets with Fusion Grenades grant Rift energy.

The highest roll this week belongs to Warlocks as the Starfire Protocol features a rediculous 32 Recovery. For that reason along, this may be worth picking up, though it’s really only for Fusion Grenade users.

Fr0st-EE5 – Hunter leg armor

Exotic Perk:

• Rapid Cooldown – Increased grenade, melee, and dodge regeneration while sprinting. Dodging increases your sprint speed.

An okay roll for an underused exotic. They’re not particularly exciting and require the player to actively sprint in order to feel the effects, something which doesn’t make a ton of sense when dealing with higher difficulty content. This is a hard one to recommend.

Ursa Furiosa – Titan gauntlets

Exotic Perk:

• Ursine Guard – Move faster while guarding when Sentinel Shield is active. Guarded damage converts to Super energy when the Super ends.

At long last, a Titan exotic that doesn’t have a mobility spike. Sitting at a 65 overall, Ursa Furiosa isn’t bad, but it’s no longer high on the best Titan exotics list like it used to be. Still, the roll is solid so it’s a great replacement buy.

Xur’s Exotic Weapon

Another exotic that is commonly on sale with Xur, the Skyburner’s Oath is a unique scout rifle as it can shoot as fully automatic weapon, while also lobbing slug rounds. It’s also particularly useful when dealing with the Cabal, so it may be a solid option in that regard, but it doesn’t hold up when compared to the current in-season meta exotic options.

Weapon Perks:

• Slug Rifle – This weapon lobs explosive slugs. When you’re aiming down sights, the slugs travel fast and straight. When you’re firing from the hip, the explosion is larger and applies Scorch to the target.
• For the Empire – This weapon is Full Auto, does extra damage to Cabal, and penetrates Phalanx shields.
• Extended Barrel
• Extended Mag
• Short-Action Stock

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perks

At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
