NBA playoff: Joel Embiid's 50 points revive the Sixers in their series against the Knicks, the Lakers lose for the third time in a row

The defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, dominated the Los Angeles Lakers (105-112) for the third time in a row. LA was unable to turn things around in its Californian arena, and will already have to play a last chance match on Saturday evening.

Anthony Davis (33 points, 15 rebounds) and LeBron James (26 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds) only received support from Austin Reaves (22 points). D'Angelo Russell did not score a single point. Opposite, a quartet dominated with Nikola Jokic (24 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists), Aaron Gordon (29 points, 15 rebounds), Jamal Murray (22 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds) and Michael Porter Jr. (20 points, 10 rebounds).

The Lakers led by 12 points in the second quarter, and were ahead at rest (53-49). They let the game slip away in the third quarter (22-34).

Orlando won Game 3 against Cleveland (121-83) but is still trailing in the series (2-1). Paolo Banchero finished MVP of the evening with 31 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.
