The Potion Seller quest in No Rest For The Wicked requires players to complete some challenging platforming sections. Here’s how to do so.

No Rest For The Wicked doesn’t hand-hold its players during quests. However, it doesn’t leave them out on their own either. It strikes a good balance between showing the way and letting players explore and discover the world on their own.

On the dangerous island of Isola Sacra, there lie hidden adventures for those willing to look for them. One such adventure is that of The Potion Seller, hidden in a cave underneath the Orban Glades. This is a hidden quest that can be hard to find and consists of a particularly difficult platforming section.

How To Reach The Potion Seller’s Cave In No Rest For The Wicked

The first part of the quest (starting it) is as difficult as the rest of it. The cave that hides the potion seller is hidden away, only to be found if the player knows where to look. Here’s how to reach it:

Fast Travel to the Sacrament Whisper.
Leave the town through the Orban Glades exit and move through the area until the bridge next to the campfire has been reached.
Move down into the screen just before reaching the bridge.
There will be a large ladder leading the player down onto a ledge that connects with the cave that has the Potion Seller inside.
Talk to him to start the quest.

How To Complete The Potion Seller’s Quest In No Rest For The Wicked

Reaching The Iona Bloom

The first part of the Potion Seller’s quest is to find the Iona Bloom, a rare flower that grows in the cave he’s holed up in. To do so, follow these steps:

Go left and down from the Potion Seller, through the small passageway, to reach a large expanse in the cave.
Climb down from the ledge and go across the hall, moving towards the right and dispatching any enemies that come in between.
From the right wall, go forward and jump onto the vines hanging from the wall. Use them to climb up and proceed forward.
Climb up the ladder and go left, following the wall.
Upon reaching a dead end, walk to the left and drop down onto the ledge.
There will be vines on the wall. Use them to move left and climb upward.
Follow the path, and you’ll reach the Cerim Whisper next to Iona’s Bloom.

Going Back To The Potion Maker

Once the Cerim reaches the Iona Bloom, the hard part of the quest starts. The player will need to go through some really tough enemies and a lot of difficult platforming.

From the ledge next to the Cerim Whisper, jump down into the pool of water.
Climb up the stone ledge and interact with the orange hanging on the Iona Bloom to enter the “spiritual realm,” so to speak.
Go across the platform and start climbing using the spectral stairs that appear.
After reaching the Whisper, jump down and start going back the way you came from.
Instead of going down, use the spectral platforms that appear to go across the cavern.
Reach the right side of the cavern and then go up the vine wall.
Follow the path and dispatch any enemies in the way.

Players don’t have to engage the enemies during this quest; enemies won’t follow because of the multitude of platforms.

Jump across the gap, and start going up using the spectral platform.
Jump across the small gap onto the vines and climb up.
Dispatch the enemies or ignore them to go forward and across the spectral platform on the top of the screen.
The correct way forward is up and left, where the player will come across another intersection. The path going down will lead to a previously unreachable enemy and some treasure, while the path to the right will bring players closer to the end of the quest.

Attempt this portion of the platforming very carefully. It’s easy to lose one’s footing, and
falling means dying
and restarting the entire section.

Keep following the path to reach the end of the quest. The next spectral platform won’t be visible until the player reaches the end of the one they’re currently on.
At the end of the path, jump down into the pool from the waterfall and swim out onto the rocky outcropping.
From there, players can drop the ladder and climb down to reach the Potion Saker. Talk to him to end the quest and bring him to Sacrament, where a new shop will become available.

After completing The Potion Seller quest, players should return and explore the rest of the cave. There are a lot of resources scattered around that can be reached using spectral platforms that become available when using the Iona Flower. Be sure to bring an iron pickaxe to harvest the many ore veins here.
