DH Challenge Bicyclic: the 2024 rankings

Here are the rankings:

Here are the rules for the DH Challenge Bicyclic

The DH Challenge Bicyclic has three categories: cadets, juniors and elite prospects without contract. It is open to Walloon riders (including those affiliated with a Flemish or foreign team) who do not have a professional contract. All official Belgian races in these three categories are taken into account. For foreign events, only UCI races or major interclub races will be counted. This Challenge ends at the end of October, at the Chrono des Nations. The UCI events on other continents contested between the Chrono des Nations and December 31 count for the next edition of the DH Challenge Bicyclic.

The allocation of points

The winner of a normal race (fair) for cadets, juniors or hopefuls and elites without contract obtains a number of points which corresponds to the number of starters. Example: if there are 74 riders at the start, the winner gets 74 points. For the riders who follow him in the ranking, ten points are deducted per place (the 2nd will have 64 points, the 3rd 54 pts; the 4th 44 pts; up to the 8th who will have 4 points etc.). If there are 12 starters, the first has 12 points, the second 2 points and those who follow do not score points.

Important races: the principle is the same for obtaining points (number of riders at the start = points for the winner). The winner's points are then multiplied by a coefficient depending on the importance of the race. Then, from these new points, we again subtract ten points per rider classified following the winner, until the moment we arrive at a figure lower than 10.

Special points

Chronos : outside stage events (national tests or World, European, Belgian, Walloon Championships, etc.): the number of starters is multiplied by three before applying the coefficient.

Open races (for amateurs and masters): the number of starters is divided by three.

Ex aequo : in the event of a tie in the general classification of the DH Challenge Bicyclic, the riders are first decided by the number of victories, then by the best place obtained in a race, then by the best score achieved over a week.

Commas : in case of points with commas, the points are rounded down when the digits after the decimal point range from 1 to 4 and to the upper value when these digits range from 5 to 9.
