The Seresians showed a lot of desire but came up against a realistic opponent, more consistent on a technical and physical level. In the second period, hope returned for two minutes but Quintero's shot, entered thanks to a ball from Sy, and the second Ostend goal buried the last local hopes.
Seraing therefore ends the season in penultimate place. Sportingly, it condemns the club to relegation to Nationale 1 but the managers will follow the Ostend license file with interest.
