And we also know that Stade France could be a fallback solution for a much more traditional inauguration. At this rate (who knows?), a relocation to Brussels, the capital of Europe, could also be considered. We laugh, we laugh. But, with a dash of daring, the idea could make sense. Well, we will avoid the parade on the Mellaerts ponds or the tour of Robinson Island. But, to maximize security, we could perfectly organize the event near the Léonard crossroads. It would, of course, be necessary to finalize the route that the delegations would take to avoid a traffic jam behind the flame. But it is clear that the new “place to be” for Brussels residents would have the advantage of reassuring the police and gendarmerie services. How can we imagine that possible terrorists would venture into an area where even Waze and Google Maps are out of good tips for escaping.
