Heading to the South of France for a new life project, he looks back on this complicated season:
“From the start, we knew it would be a difficult season, but maybe not to this extent. Because we were very disappointed to arrive in December as a red lantern. Fortunately, we managed to raise our heads thanks to the coach who did his job. When a coach arrives during the season, it changes a lot of things and the management followed. This is what made us raise our heads and get everyone back on the right path. All the players were very motivated to get through it and that's what made the difference.“
Injured in July (herniated disc) at the start of preparation, his return in November was a turning point in the RFB season.
“I think I made my contribution, that's for sure. But we also changed the system, I moved back a notch to stabilize the defense, and above all to be able to bring out the ball in order to try to create a lot of chances, and that's what we did and which allowed us to score a lot more goals.”
Although his professional career is now behind him, he does not intend to hang up his boots completely, since he hopes to continue in the amateur environment.
