Ducab Group announced its participation in the 23rd edition of the UAE Careers Vision 2024 Exhibition. Ducab’s participation aims to encourage and support young Emiratis to start their careers, in line with the UAE’s national agenda to enhance Emiratisation targets and develop human capital in the country.

Ducab Group’s participation in the UAE Careers Vision Fair confirms its pioneering role in nurturing young Emirati talents and competencies, and reflects its ongoing efforts to support economic diversification and effectively contribute to enhancing the Emiratisation process. Ducab is adopting strategic steps that are in line with the Group’s ongoing efforts and Ducab’s National Development Program, perhaps the most prominent of which is the appointment of Mohammed Al Mutawa as the Group’s first Emirati CEO.

During the “UAE Careers Vision 2024” exhibition, the group is showcasing a number of initiatives, including the “Bedayati” programme, the scholarship programme, the graduate training programme, and the national service programme, reflecting the company’s dedication to nurturing local talent and enhancing a dynamic work environment to contribute to the UAE’s future ambitions.

commitment

Mona Mohammed Fikri, Chief Human Resources Officer at Ducab Group, stressed the group’s keenness to launch pioneering initiatives and programmes aimed at enhancing the UAE’s human capital, in line with the national strategic vision for sustainable growth and innovation.

She said: “As part of its efforts to achieve its ambitious Emiratisation goals, Ducab has launched various training and scholarship programs, most notably: “Bedayati Program,” through which new Emirati graduates are trained annually in various fields and enabled to excel in their professional lives, in addition to the scholarship program that engineering students in various branches benefit from annually, as they join Ducab’s main work fields after graduation. This program allows participants to develop their skills and accustom them to the labor market.”

“Today, the percentage of Emiratisation jobs at Ducab stands at 42%, while the number of Emirati employees currently working at Ducab represents 162 employees out of the total number of employees working at Ducab, an increase of 600% from 2014 to 2024. Over the course of 10 years, Ducab has succeeded in employing more than 100 Emiratis through direct recruitment, and the Emiratisation rate in middle management reached 30%, and more than 70% in executive management. Ducab’s programmes have succeeded in attracting about 70 university graduates, 56 Emirati engineers through the scholarship programme, and about 100 Emiratis with experience,” she added.

She pointed out that Ducab launched the National Service Trainees Program last year, which provides young Emiratis who have completed the requirements for graduation with a bachelor’s degree with training opportunities that extend for up to 11 months with generous financial rewards. It falls under the umbrella of the Bedayati Program, which aims to attract citizens and enable them to gain practical experience, until they are called up for national service, which contributes to refining the skills of young Emiratis and enabling them to contribute to the growth of the industrial sector in the UAE, which represents a pivotal tributary to the national economy and falls within the national agenda of the UAE Vision 2021.

Mona Fikry concluded by saying: “We at Ducab believe in the importance of providing training opportunities for national cadres, preparing them for the labor market, enhancing their capabilities and talents, and integrating them into a professional work environment that provides them with the basic future skills to deal flexibly with the labor market and its requirements.”

Ducab Group is keen to empower national competencies, hone their skills, and develop them in line with the visions and strategies of the UAE, to achieve comprehensive sustainable development and enhance the country’s leading position on the global economic map.
