New polls from The New York Times and Siena College show Republican candidate Donald Trump ahead in Arizona and ahead in tight races in Georgia and North Carolina.
Voters across the three Sun Belt states said Trump had improved their lives while he was president and they worry that a Kamala Harris White House will not, setting the stage for a tight race in three key states, according to the latest New York Times-Siena College polls.
Polls show Trump has made gains in Arizona and remains ahead in Georgia, two states he lost to President Joe Biden in 2020. But in North Carolina, which has not voted for a Democrat since 2008, Harris trails Trump by a narrow margin.
Polls conducted in the three states from September 17 to 21 provide fresh evidence that in a deeply divided country, the presidential election will be the most competitive in history.
