Zidane, Nagelsmann, De Zerbi, Conte… which path is the most credible for the future coach of Bayern Munich?

”We take this as a direct incentive, we will work even harder and will not rest until the trophy returns to Munich”has already warned Jan-Christian Dreesen, the CEO of Bayern who set out with his sporting director Max Eberl in search of the rare pearl capable of relaunching the Bavarian machine.

The long-mentioned Xabi Alonso track being dead and buried by the Spanish coach himself, other names have been mentioned in recent days. Notably those of Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton), Ralf Rangnick (Austria coach) or Antonio Conte (free). Except that these three tracks are already cooled.

”Rangnick, is it credible? As much as the fact that Conte is already sending us lists of players he wants us to recruit”quipped Max Eberl a few days ago at the microphone of Sky Germany, while De Zerbi – under contract with the Seagulls until 2026 – shut down the rumors himself. “I don't intend to leavelaunched the Italian Bobo TV. There is no club that can change my mind.”

Nagelsmann Advantage

A few days ago, another name was released by the Spanish daily Marca : Zinedine Zidane. Bayern management even contacted the Frenchman. Without a team since his departure from Real Madrid in 2021, he could be tempted by a new adventure knowing that the place of coach of the France team should not be vacant before 2026.

The potential difficulties of adapting for the Marseillais, who does not speak German, however, put a damper on this idea. Eberl has already explained that the future coach should not necessarily speak the language, especially since Thomas Tuchel already often speaks in English in the locker room, but Zizou would not sufficiently master the language of Shakespeare either.

The hottest track leads elsewhere anyway: the return of Julian Nagelsmann (in place before Tuchel), whose contract as coach of the Mannschaft ends after the Euro. “I don't know him very wellreplied Harry Kane, interviewed this Tuesday. And obviously I don't know the situation with the coaches either. I think the club must and will make the best decision for Bayern. For our part, we show the greatest respect for Thomas Tuchel, and we are very focused on the upcoming match.”
