Clearly, the Danes from the Lidl-Trek team never lack confidence before the races. We know that Mads Pedersen is never safe from announcing himself as the big favorite in a race, during interviews just before the start. This does not always bear fruit, as during the recent Paris-Nice from which he returned empty-handed… before successfully succeeding in his classics campaign by beating Mathieu van der Poel at Ghent-Wevelgem.
