Verstappen wins Chinese GP sprint race

The Red Bull driver leads Hamilton by seven seconds. The RB20s were above the rest in the dry, as evidenced by the third place of Sergio Perez who finished on the heels of the Mercedes.

The Ferraris complete the Top 5 after fighting fiercely among themselves. Charles Leclerc finished 4th ahead of Carlos Sainz. After his bad start, Lando Norris took 6th position ahead of his teammate Oscar Piastri. Starting from 11th place on the grid, George Russell finished 8th with his Mercedes equipped with soft tires.

In addition to Norris, the other loser in this sprint was Fernando Alonso. The Aston Martin driver held on to 3rd place before being pulled back by the peloton and was hit by Sainz. Alonso suffered a puncture, his team choosing to retire in order to preserve the AMR24 for qualifying.

Now it's time for qualifying for the Chinese GP which will take place at 9:00 this morning.
