Earlier in the month, Brett Pedroia of Valley Tire, Woodland recently presented a check to Yolo County Sheriff STARS. The Sheriff’s Team of Active Retired Seniors, or STARS, is a non-profit volunteer group that assists the Sheriff’s Office with a variety of community services such as community events, vacation home checks, vehicle maintenance, farm equipment stamping, etc. This donation will allow STARS to purchase a computer software program to identify service projects, organize work schedules and log hours worked.
