Two medals or nothing for Tatyana Lebrun: “Preparation disrupted by health concerns”

On Sunday, it was on her favorite distance, the 100 meter breaststroke, that Tatyana won bronze with a time of 1:18.05: “It's my first European medal so I'm super happy and super proudexplained the swimmer from the French-speaking Handisport League once she came out of the water. A little disappointed though not to have been in top form because I have the feeling that I could have done better if I hadn't been ill and my preparation hadn't been disrupted by problems health. However, I take this first European bronze medal with great pleasure, as well as the time which is quite good considering the circumstances.”

Back in the Portuguese swimming pool, with a relieved mind, this Monday, the young 19-year-old athlete will do even better by going for silver in the 200 meter medley with a time of 2:34.56 quite close to her personal best (Editor's note : 2:33.31).

”I’m super happy to get this second medal in two daysanalyzed the swimmer from Saint-Vith. The race was very hard from the start and the first length in butterfly. It was hot, but I am very proud to have won a silver medal and to have held on until the end,” reacted Tatyana after the race. The physiotherapy student will compete again on Thursday in the 100 meter butterfly but without great ambitions.

Engaged in the final of the 100 meter backstroke a few minutes after Tatyana Lebrun, Aymeric Parmentier finished seventh (1:03.87), a few hundredths off his personal best. A very satisfying race in his eyes: “I'm happy with my race, I had good feelings and at the end I'm very close to my record so I'm still happy with myself.”
