The challenge was twofold in welcoming the Stade Verviétois for the Tubiziens: to formalize their qualification for the final round and, in the event of a misstep by Tournai, to get back on the podium. Objective doubly achieved for Drazen Brncic's men, who was all smiles at the end of the match. “As soon as I arrived, we set ourselves the goal of being in the Top 4 to reach the final round. This is done thanks to the victory this Saturday evening and it is a good first step. But the hardest part remains to be done. I ask my players every day to always aim higher. Getting back on the podium is also an element of satisfaction and it brings additional confidence.”
Coming back to the match itself, it couldn't have started better since it only took RUTB three minutes to open the score thanks to El Omari. An advantage which will be doubled around twenty minutes later via Tyron Crame. The reduction in Verviers' score will not disturb the Tubiziens, who just before the break will take off again, thanks to El Omari.
In the second half, RUTB will be able to manage the match, while allowing Tyron Crame to also score a double. An offensive performance which also had something to satisfy the coach of the White and Gold. “Verviers imposed high and very aggressive pressure at the start of the match. Once we managed to get around this pressure, we were able to develop our game. We played a very good offensive game, with a double for each of our attackers, who are confident. If I wanted to be choosy, and I like to be (laughs)I would say that we conceded too many chances to our opponent.”
