Tired of the quarrels at Red Bull, Adrian Newey would be on the way to join Ferrari

Newey, who turned 65 last December, “hates nothing more than internal politics” within a team, with the apparent power struggle between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko. The Briton is reportedly keen to be free to join another project “by the end of 2024”.

Newey, who is currently leading the development of the RB17 hypercar for the Red Bull, is under contract with Red Bull until 2025. But other teams are ready to break his contract with the Austrian team to afford his services at a high price, including Ferrari.

Newey is known for turning down approaches from Ferrari three times during his career, most notably in 2014, shortly after Red Bull's dominance with Sebastian Vettel ended with the introduction of the turbo hybrid regulations. Furthermore, Mercedes also has its sights set on Newey as well as Verstappen. Let it be said, the transfer window promises to be particularly fierce.
