The Security Council vote on “Palestine membership” may not take place Thursday

Several diplomatic sources told Agence France-Presse on Tuesday that the Council will vote on Thursday on the application submitted by the Palestinian Authority for full membership in the United Nations, but this date is no longer certain after some members called for the session to be delayed until Friday.

In September 2011, the President of the Palestinian Authority presented Mahmoud Abbas Requesting “for the State of Palestine to join the United Nations.”
