The “Nuclear Bomb” Minister calls for the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip

Eliyahu, known for his extreme extremism, added in statements to the media that the occupation Gaza It must begin with the end of the war.

Eliyahu became widely known outside Israel, after he stated earlier in the current war that the use of nuclear weapons against Gaza was possible, which sparked a wave of international condemnation.

Eliyahu belongs to the “Jewish Power” party, which is led by the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itar Ben Gvir.

Eliyahu told the official Israeli broadcaster Kan that he “believes that the Palestinians are unable to control the Gaza Strip without turning it into a hotbed of terrorism.”

He added, “Anyone who sells the idea that the Palestinians can return to running things (in Gaza) does not remember what happened on October 7.”

But the minister did not mention a vision of what Israeli rule of the Gaza Strip would look like if the war ended.

When asked whether Israel would be responsible for civil affairs in Gaza after the war, he simply said, “The Palestinians cannot do that.”

He added that he wants to rebuild the settlements in Gaza, but he admitted that the present time is not appropriate for that.

This development comes in conjunction with the visit of US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to Israel, where he stressed that “Israel does not have the right to reoccupy the Gaza Strip.”

The issue of the form of governance of the Gaza Strip after the war has become the subject of an American-Israeli dispute that has emerged in recent days.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would assume security responsibility in the Strip after the war, but he did not address the form of governance and civil affairs in Gaza.
