Fu Xuan is a Preservation character in Honkai: Star Rail whose ability scales with HP instead of DEF. With her Skill, she places a Matrix of Prescience, which reduces the DMG taken by the entire team while also boosting her allies’ HP and Crit Rate. The Crit Rate bonus only scales with her Skill level, but the HP buff scales with the Master Diviner’s max HP, which means it’s best to stack on health when playing her.
The DMG dealt via her Ultimate also scales with HP, and when her health gets low, Fu Xuan can heal herself, giving her massive yet effortless survivability and protection to the team. Unlike most Preservation characters in Honkai: Star Rail, Fu Xuan works by reducing the DMG taken by the entire team, and whenever her own HP gets low, she’ll heal herself, making her a great tank and protector. Fu Xuan heals via her Talent, and with Defense Light Cone, she’ll also heal when she uses Ultimate. It’s not the best option, but easily viable for beginner players.

Moment of Victory may be a 5-star Light Cone in Honkai: Star Rail, but it’s not the top weapon for Fu Xuan. Her ability scales with HP while Moment of Victory enhances DEF and Effect Hit Rate instead. The Master Diviner can somewhat benefit from the DEF boost, but the Effect Hit Rate is practically useless for her.

Landau’s Choice allows Fu Xuan to be a better taunt, which means players will have the team protected via Fu Xuan’s Skill, and then she’ll also be the one taking DMG most of the time. Remember that she can also heal herself, so players don’t have to worry about her taking all the damage.

We Are Wildfire is like a mini-version of her signature Light Cone. It heals the team when the battle starts, but instead of giving a DMG bonus, it reduces the DMG taken by allies in the first five turns. As this Light Cone can be obtained for free from various sources, players can easily Superimpose it and it can be a great weapon for Fu Xuan.

Effect RES is always great as it helps repel debuff and this Light Cone also provides a shield that scales with HP, the stat that players will be stacking on Fu Xuan. On top of the shield and effect RES, Texture of Memories also reduces DMG taken, which can make Fu Xuan an even better tanker.
