Review of the Garmin Lily 2 Classic from Garmin: the small, elegant and trendy connected watch

Very nice surprise upon unboxing this model which can be described as a smartwatch: the watch is thin, light and feminine. The burgundy leather strap is soft, thin and elegant. I was looking for a sports watch that can also be worn in the evening or at work, and I was served.

Assumed femininity

At first glance, it's clearly a women's watch! It is light and discreet, but above all elegant, which is generally not a given for a connected sports watch. The touch screen is discreet and only lights up when touched.

Activities

The announced autonomy is 5 days. I lasted 7 days with moderate sporting activity. A good point.

Although it is not a watch specially designed for running or outdoor activities, it nevertheless has quite a few advantages: activity monitoring, connected notifications, a heart rate sensor, a heart rate score, body battery, sleep score, menstrual tracking, connected GPS tracking…

Please note, sports monitoring is essentially based on fitness, it is better to know that. However, it offers quite a few sports, Zumba, Hip-Hop dances or even Yoga and Pilates. It is also water resistant (5 ATM).

Personally, I practice running and weight training several times a week and the follow-up has satisfied me. The only negative point is that you have to take your phone with you to activate GPS tracking, which is not directly integrated into the watch as is the case for models specially designed for running.

Conclusion

I really liked its design, its finesse and its elegance which allows you to keep your watch on you, even with more elegant outfits.

The price of €279, compared to its look and what it offers, is reasonable.

The activity monitoring was personally sufficient for me in relation to my practice and my expectations, but I do not recommend it if you are a fan of trail running or long runs.
