Patrick Lefevere does not rule out extending Julian Alaphilippe: “We will sit down together before the Giro”

In an interview with the English-speaking media GCN, Patrick Lefevere indeed suggested that he did not rule out an extension for the Frenchman.

”I don't think Julian wants to leave, said the Flandrian manager. I think he wants to stay, but I'm not going to speak out of turn and say something that will be misunderstood again. He is part of our family. Sometimes we have a discussion and it explodes, but that too is part of a family. When you're married, it's not peace every day. In a team of 85 people, it makes sense that there is sometimes friction, but we are grown-ups. If you can sit down at the table and talk about it privately, there's no problem. Just before the Giro (Editor’s note: on which Alaphilippe will make his debut on May 4) we're going to sit together. His manager wants to talk and talking costs nothing.”
