Update: Jalen Brunson came out on to the court and is playing to open the second half

New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson was on a record streak heading into Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night.

Brunson — fifth in this season’s NBA MVP voting — just recently joined Michael Jordan in some elite company by scoring 40-plus points in four consecutive NBA Playoff games.

Unfortunately for the Knicks, there is now some concern over Brunson’s health.

He exited Wednesday’s game at the 3:32 mark of the first quarter with what appeared to be a foot injury. Brunson went directly to the locker room. As of publication of this article, he had not returned to the game. Turner Sports reported that Brunson is questionable to return.

Those on hand inside Madison Square Garden noted that Brunson’s father left the Knicks bech after his son went to the locker room. Former NBA player Rick Brunson is currently an assistant for the Knicks. Meanwhile, front office head Leon Rose left his seat after the injury.

Here is the play in which the happened.

We’ll obviously have updates as they become available.

New York boasts a 1-0 series lead after Brunson dropped 43 points Monday evening to open the series.
