This season, Mateo has become an indisputable starter for a Saint-Gilles team in which Lucas, his twin brother, also plays. “Lucas is unfortunately injured in the ankle but I hope I will have the opportunity to face my two sons in the return match.”

In the meantime, we must concentrate on Sunday's meeting, while putting feelings aside. “It's very special to face your son but he, like me, must approach this match like all the others. I wish him and his team good luck, but I am Jette's coach and we need to take points. So the feelings will stay at home.”
Michel Delph takes a proud look at the development of his two sons, and in particular that of Mateo, who established himself within this Union B team. “Last season, he came into the game 20 minutes from time against my team, this season he has become a full-fledged starter. During the international break, he even had the opportunity to play 20 minutes with the pros during a friendly match against Lierse. I am very proud of his development and I wish the same journey to his brother Lucas.”
A Union B team that the Jette coach does not underestimate. “It's a very good team, which develops a very good game. They play fast, they are very strong in transitions but they also have faults which we will have to exploit. Our goal is to win this weekend and finish this first part of the season well before focusing on the second round which we hope will be much better.”
Beaten 4-0 at Warnant last weekend, Jette saw its streak of five consecutive games come to an end. Without, however, affecting the morale of the troops. “The score is forced and this defeat should not call into question what we had shown during the five previous meetings. After a catastrophic start to the season, we have picked up our heads. It's up to us to get, over the course of the 18 remaining games, the 20 points that separate us from remaining.”
