Verstappen, whose Red Bull had lost its splendor, finished second in front of the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc. Carlos Sainz finished fourth ahead of the second Red Bull of Sergio Pérez and the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. Yuki Tsunoda (RB) shone again with a seventh place finish. The top 10 is completed by George Russell (Mercedes), Fernando Alonso (AMR) and Esteban Ocon which allows Alpine to finally open its abacus this season.
The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place in two weeks at the Imola circuit in Emilia-Romagna.
