A macabre debate rages around the cemetery located near the Nasser hospital in Khan Younes in the south of the Gaza Strip. The whole question is whether the Israeli army dug a mass grave to discreetly bury Palestinians or whether this accusation is part of fake news as part of a disinformation campaign led by Islamists. Even before making a decision, the White House, the UN, the European Union took the information seriously and demanded an investigation “thorough and transparent”. Small reminder: in mid-February, the Israeli army invaded the Nasser hospital following violent clashes which left dozens of Palestinians dead, while 200 of them, presented as members of the armed wing of Hamas, were taken prisoner.
