Before the Olympic Games in Paris, after the three-day race in London, Kopecky will also participate, as previously announced, in the Tour of Great Britain (June 6-9), in the Belgian time trial championships in Binche (June 20), at the Belgian road championships in Zottegem (June 23) and at the Tour of Italy (July 7-14). After the Olympic Games, where Kopecky will compete on both track and road, she decided not to take part in the Tour de France (August 12-18).
Kopecky completed his last race of the spring by competing in Liège-Bastogne-Liège last Sunday. The next day, she went to rest. “Just recharge the batteries and think about something else,” she declared at the finish of the race in Liège, where she spoke of a lack of freshness.
