Japan stocks higher at close of trade; Nikkei 225 up 0.81% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tokyo, the gained 0.81%.

The best performers of the session on the were Keyence (TYO:), which rose 7.79% or 5,030.00 points to trade at 69,670.00 at the close. Meanwhile, CyberAgent Inc (TYO:) added 5.38% or 52.50 points to end at 1,026.50 and T&D Holdings, Inc. (TYO:) was up 5.35% or 129.50 points to 2,545.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were JTEKT Corp. (TYO:), which fell 9.16% or 127.00 points to trade at 1,258.50 at the close. Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd. (TYO:) declined 6.37% or 402.00 points to end at 5,901.00 and NTN Corp. (TYO:) was down 2.88% or 9.10 points to 305.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 2.98% to 20.82.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.82% or 0.69 to $83.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.71 to hit $87.50 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 5.45 to trade at $2,341.75 a troy ounce.

USD/JPY was down 0.70% to 157.22, while EUR/JPY fell 0.26% to 168.55.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 105.64.
