in Tours, artists to “get out the work of the night”

When it comes to “engaged art” these days, we often really find neither art nor engagement, due to lack of a real concern for formatting (and sincerity?) which would make the so-called message readable. .

Conversely, the exhibition “Sortir le travail de sa nuit”, presented by the Center for Contemporary Creation Olivier-Debré (CCCOD), in Tours, has the merit of keeping its promises and displaying a social commitment which is in truth its starting point, its reason for being. And for good reason: the exhibition is interested in work, in the alienation that can result from it, but also in the international division of labor, subjects less fashionable than identity themes and falsely “radical” (decolonial subjects, LGBT themes…) particularly popular these days.
