The PGA Championship has been around since 1916, showcasing the best athletic talent on the green once a year. The tournament was historically held in August, right before Labor Day. Since 2019, however, the PGA Championship has been played the weekend before Memorial Day. The 2024 tournament will take place from May 16-19. Whether you’re a pro or just happy to get a double bogey and love watching golf, make sure you have a cable, satellite, or live TV streaming service to see all the action on and off the green.

Where to watch the PGA Championship

You can find PGA Championship content across a variety of platforms, including Peacock, but the majority of live tournament action will be broadcast on ESPN. Morning coverage will air on the ESPN Plus app. Networks like Golf Channel and CBS will have supplemental analysis and interviews and ESPN2 will air afternoon Thursday and Friday coverage.

Watch on Sling TV (Featured Partner)

Sling TV is one of the most affordable streaming services on the market. It doesn’t have as many channels as competitors, but you can get a good core lineup. Most importantly for PGA fans,  you’ll be able to get ESPN on Sling Orange. You can also get the Golf Channel with an add-on. The Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans cost the same each month, while the combined Sling Orange & Blue plan allows you to get a slight discount versus buying the plans separately. While some areas get local channels Fox, ABC, and NBC, you won’t be able to get CBS on Sling TV at this time.

Other sports channels available on Sling include NFL Network and FS1 on Sling Blue. The Sports Extra add-on gives you NHL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, MLB Network Strike Zone, SEC Network, and NFL RedZone. Sling TV customers get a discount on their first month of service instead of a free trial and 50 hours of DVR space. You upgrade to 200 hours for a fee.

Watch on DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM has everything you need to watch the PGA Tournament, aside from the morning coverage on ESPN Plus. While the plans for this livestreamer might give you a bit of sticker shock, the higher-tier plans also have more channels than almost any other option. The Entertainment package costs the least per month, but you’ll get more sports content overall by opting for the Choice, Ultimate, or Premier packages. Thanks to a five-day free trial, you can take your plan for a test drive before you make a final decision.

Once the golf tournament has wrapped up, you can use DIRECTV STREAM to watch NHL Network, NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NBA TV, MLB Network, CBS Sports Network, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Fox Sports 2 (FS2), Tennis Channel, SEC Network, ACC Network, and Big Ten Network. DIRECTV also has a lot of regional sports networks (RSNs), including Bally Sports channels and NBC Sports networks, based on your region. You’ll also get local channels and unlimited cloud DVR space.

Watch on Fubo

Fubo has three plans, each with a seven-day free trial. The Pro, Elite, and Premier plans all have 1000 hours of DVR space too, and an impressive number of channels. When it comes to the PGA Tournament, you can catch coverage on every channel aside from the ESPN Plus exclusive content.

Fubo began as a soccer-centered platform, and it still has sports fans covered by offering a ton of channels for them. Fubo has RSNs, NFL Network, ACCN, FS1, Big Ten Network, Fubo Sports, Boxing TV, and the CBS Sports Network. The Sports Lite Add-on unlocks access to even more action from NHL Network, NBA TV, and MLB Network. The Sports Plus with NFL RedZone also has MLB Strike Zone, Tennis Channel, Pac 12 Networks, and more.

Watch on Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV is the only platform that has every channel and app you need to watch the PGA Tournament, including ESPN Plus access. All customers get ESPN Plus as a part of their subscription at no additional cost. You can use your Hulu credentials to log in. While Hulu + Live TV has just one base plan, it also comes with Disney Plus and the entire Hulu on-demand library. You can eliminate ads from on-demand library content if you’re willing to pony up for a higher monthly premium, but live programming will still have ad breaks.

Other sports channels in the Hulu + Live TV core lineup include FS1, FS2, NFL Network, MLB Network, SEC Network, Big Ten Network, and TNT. The Hulu + Live TV Sports Add-on costs an extra monthly fee and gives you networks like NFL RedZone, FanDuel TV, Tennis Channel and Outdoor Channel. Hulu + Live TV has a three-day free trial.

Watch on YouTube TV

YouTube TV has just one plan, but you’ll have ESPN, ESPN2, Golf Channel, and more. The channel lineup is pretty diverse, offering a healthy balance of entertainment, news, and sports. You can customize your channel guide at any time to position your favorite sports networks at the top. Plus, YouTube TV lets you choose from a variety of in-game views, including the key plays view and scores view.

Sports channels on the YouTube TV lineup include NFL Network, NBA TV, TNT, FS1, FS2, the CBS Sports Network, and the Tennis Channel. Like many of its competitors, YouTube TV has a Sports Plus add-on. This option includes NFL RedZone from NFL Network, Fox Soccer Plus, Billiard TV, FanDuel TV, Fight Network, and Impact Wrestling. YouTube TV is also the exclusive home of the NFL Sunday Ticket for an additional per-season fee.
