The best strategy for completing Glide de Chocobo Course 3 has players turn around halfway through their run in order to gain some additional height, which can make passing through the last two rings a whole lot easier. Unfortunately, even with this strategy, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players will need a bit of luck on their side, not to mention a good understanding of how everything works.
How to Complete Glide de Chocobo Course 3 in FF7 Rebirth
To begin their run, players will need to press and hold R2 much like in previous courses. Rather than doing so right away though, they’ll want to wait until the two drones in front of them are crossing paths with one another before pulling the trigger, as doing so will ensure that the first two 500 rings line up perfectly. From there, they’ll want to zig-zag through the next three rings and then make their way towards the fans.
In the next section, players should pass through the first 100 ring and then dive through the trail of rings beneath them. Once they reach the second 500 ring, they’ll need to pull up the analog stick as far as possible and hold it there for a second or two, as failure to do so will mean that they won’t have enough height for the next set of rings. Assuming they do though, they can dive through the next few rings and then make their way to the nearby fans.
At first, it might seem as though players are too high up to get the next set of rings, but the rings will move up as the player gets closer. Players should aim slightly to the left of the first ring and then straighten up as they pass through it, which will allow them dive through the rest of the trail fairly easily. They’ll just need to manage their ascent to ensure that they aren’t too high above the fans here, as it’s possible to pass over the updraft.
After being lifted back up into the air, players should zig-zag through the next set of rings until their score hits 7,000. Once it does, rather than passing through the next 300 ring, they’ll want to double back to the fans behind them to restore their height, then turn back around immediately. Now, they can approach the 300 ring dead on, which will make diving through the two 500 rings beneath it a whole lot easier.
From here, it’s a simple case of pulling up and passing through the final 300 ring, being sure to start moving to the right immediately after doing so. This will ensure that players have enough height to pass through both of the 500 rings at the end of the course rather than just the bottom one, and, in the process, achieve Rank III for Glide de Chocobo Course 3.
Glide de Chocobo Course 3 Rewards
Achieving Rank III for Glide de Chocobo Course 3 will reward players with a set of Barrier Materia Earrings. This is in addition to the prizes for the previous two ranks: two Moogle Medals and a Sapphire. If players have already achieved Rank III on the other two Glide de Chocobo courses, they’ll also unlock the Soaring Chocobo Jockey, which is one of 88 special collectibles that can be displayed at Johnny’s Seaside Inn.
