The best performers of the session on the were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which rose 2.85% or 0.78 points to trade at 28.13 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) added 2.08% or 0.68 points to end at 33.31 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) was up 1.29% or 0.51 points to 39.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 4.66% or 1.15 points to trade at 23.51 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 4.23% or 1.38 points to end at 31.33 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.78% or 6.30 points to 220.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which rose 4.33% to 2.04, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 3.27% to settle at 4.86 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 3.22% to close at 27.25.
The worst performers were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.89% to 47.06 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.25% to settle at 80.00 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 3.97% to 70.20 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.87% to 13.64, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 1.71% to settle at 29.80 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 1.59% to close at 9.90.
The worst performers were Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was down 5.56% to 238.00 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.25% to settle at 80.00 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.23% to 31.33 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 329 to 298 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.89% or 3.48 to 47.06. Shares in Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.87% or 0.38 to 13.64.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.71% to 14.64.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.12% or 2.85 to $2,308.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.56% or 0.44 to hit $78.56 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.22 to trade at $83.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 105.47.
