Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.95% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.95%, while the index climbed 1.13%, and the index gained 0.83%.

The best performers of the session on the were Munich Reinsurance (ETR:), which rose 2.91% or 11.70 points to trade at 414.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 2.65% or 0.63 points to end at 24.44 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.50% or 0.79 points to 32.22 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.47% or 1.38 points to trade at 38.42 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.29% or 0.76 points to end at 32.38 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) was down 0.95% or 0.39 points to 40.57.

The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which rose 3.44% to 44.46, Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was up 3.14% to settle at 69.05 and Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.81% to close at 71.25.

The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.75% to 13.49 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.59% to settle at 9.60 and Stroeer SE (ETR:) which was down 1.53% to 61.10 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.71% to 47.20, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.76% to settle at 39.42 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.50% to close at 32.22.

The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.75% to 13.49 in late trade, Kontron AG (ETR:) which lost 1.66% to settle at 19.00 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.59% to 9.60 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 404 to 210 and 36 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.84% to 13.64 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.14% or 26.30 to $2,334.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.64% or 0.50 to hit $78.61 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.57% or 0.47 to trade at $83.43 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.90.
