Genshin Impact Making Big Change to Spiral Abyss Rewards

Highlights

  • You can earn 33% more Primogems in Spiral Abyss with Genshin Impact Version 4.7.
  • Spiral Abyss serves as Genshin Impact’s closest thing to endgame content.
  • The Version 4.7 update expands Spiral Abyss with a new mode, increasing Primogem rewards in the process.

Genshin Impact is introducing a major change to the rewards structure for Spiral Abyss by raising the amount of Primogems that players can earn by 33%. Given that the main appeal of Genshin Impact is its colorful cast of characters, the majority of spending in the world of Teyvat is through the Event Banners that feature 5-Stars on a three-week rotation. While completing daily commissions and engaging with Flagship Events has been a reliable way of obtaining Primogems, the extra pulls from Spiral Abyss shouldn’t be discounted either.

While the game places a primary emphasis on exploration, the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact may be the closest thing it has to a proper endgame. It allows players to push their skill and team composition to the limit by tackling challenging foes in a gauntlet of rotating enemies. Due to its popularity, and an overwhelming amount of feedback, Genshin Impact is expanding the Spiral Abyss by adding a brand-new mode in Version 4.7.

Spiral Abyss Rewards More Primogems in Genshin Impact Version 4.7

However, the upcoming update also has good news for fans of the regular Spiral Abyss. According to Chalice Leaks, the datamine of Version 4.7 revealed that Primogem rewards for completing the Spiral Abyss would increase from 600 to 800 – effectively granting players a single ten-pull on a monthly basis if they manage to clear all twelve floors. The information was shared on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit by ukrisreng, a regular contributor to the community. Despite launching at the tail end of Fontaine’s patch cycle, Version 4.7 will introduce three new characters and expand on the Spiral Abyss, making it an uncharacteristically ambitious update compared to its predecessors.

It should be noted that HoYoverse probably won’t award the Primogems retroactively, and the new reward structure will only affect the Spiral Abyss cycles that come after Version 4.7 launches. Given that Genshin Impact had a recent controversy about being stingy with its premium currency, this move will almost certainly be viewed positively by the community.

As for the new Spiral Abyss mode in Genshin Impact, players can expect to earn up to 620 Primogems per season. The duration of a season is currently unknown, but the first Spiral Abyss season will take place in Mondstadt and will restrict players to only using Pyro, Electro, and Anemo characters. A unique aspect of the new Spiral Abyss mode is that players will be able to borrow one character from a friend’s account, while also having trial characters at their disposal. Details about the Spiral Abyss changes will become even clearer once beta footage from Version 4.7 emerges.
