With the recent influx of new players, it can be difficult to find a place to build a base that isn’t already being used by countless other players. By heading a little north of Greg’s Mine Supply, players will find a fairly large area in the forest with very few obstructions. This area is good for building on flat ground. That said, it doesn’t come without its drawbacks.

Attacks tend to happen fairly frequently around this area. Although, it’s worth noting that the enemies typically aren’t that difficult to deal with. Since it is a large forest area, it’s easy and fun to build a camouflage-style base that fits neatly into the landscape.


Alternatively, players can use the road that runs through this region to build their own diner or shopping center that fits neatly into the surrounding area.

3 New Gad

This Super Mutant-infested area is a great place to build for those players who enjoy lots of plain, flat land that they can build off. Since there are lots of prefabs that players can place, New Gad is a great place to build for players who like to build their bases quickly.


While the Super Mutants tend to attack pretty often, a few strategically placed turrets should take care of them. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of resources around, aside from water sources. So, for players who love resource-rich areas, it may be best to pick another location.

The area around Whitespring Station is one of the most popular places to build in all of Fallout 76. Lots of players use The Whitespring Station as a central trading post, making this area a great place to get lots of visitors to a player’s base.

While the competition is fierce, it is worth having at least one CAMP in this location. Since Fallout 76 gave players the ability to own more than one CAMP, it is now much easier to handle loading into a world and finding out that your CAMP spot has been taken.

With it being a central point on the map, it is a great location to set up shop and sell items to other players.

Whitespring Golf Course is in the Whitespring area of Fallout 76. This camp costs a lot and has a nice view of the scenery. The best thing about the Whitespring Golf Course is also how safe it is. People are drawn to the camp’s central location, which has become very famous.

The previous inhabitants can cause issues, but there is a team of Whitespring Robots that do their best to handle any unruly Ghouls. That said, this probably isn’t the best location to build for low-level players, as they will find themselves getting attacked fairly frequently.
