Installation is more complicated than a simple mod, however, since Elden Ring is quite strict about saving. If not, then players can use this mod to fix their corrupt saves or convert them for Steam. Saves can also be duplicated so that players can park multiple characters in certain boss fights and then slot in the saves for easier access to these boss fights. That should make content creation easier.

The Ash of War system in Elden Ring allows for a dynamic approach to weapons and gameplay, but the sad part is that the unique ones are limited to their specific weapons. Boss weapons come to mind here. What this does for the game is to open up players to more build varieties and possibly make some boss or unique weapons less desirable. In a sense, it does make the game a bit easier since it allows for some rather broken combinations of weapon skills and weapons.

That’s why the Recover Runes mod does away with that and makes it so that players can magically get their dropped Runes without having to go and retrieve them. This makes progress a lot smoother and somewhat lessens the need for grinding to become over-leveled.

There’s no shame in admitting that some players simply need training wheels in a game like Elden Ring, which can be a soul-crushing experience for those who are new to the genre. One of the most polarizing topics for it is its singular difficulty level.

Easy Mode for Elden Ring provides a good compromise. It’s third-party software, meaning it doesn’t tamper with the developer’s artistic vision (which includes difficulty) unless individual players want to with their offline sessions. What the mod does is reduce incoming damage by half and increase damage dealt by players by a quarter percentage. Runes are also multiplied by 10, which should make things easy enough for most players.

Part of Elden Ring‘s open-world charm is the thrill of discovering hidden shops, items, and crafting materials. In subsequent playthroughs, however, finding these again can become a little tedious. In a way, this is also cheating, as it allows players to acquire the most powerful items early on rather than when the developer originally intended them to.

18 EMU Light – Enhanced Moveset Utility

Enhanced Moveset Utility is more geared for PC-oriented controls (using the mouse and keyboard). The mod allows for a dedicated roll button, which removes the notoriously hidden input delay in Elden Ring. It may be hard to believe, but this slight upgrade in responsiveness can have a huge impact when it comes to making the gameplay easier.

Apart from that, the EMU Light mod also adds additional quick-cast hotkeys for casting spells. Controllers also aren’t left out since they also get additional buttons or command inputs with this mod. It does make gameplay a lot easier for PC players since they’ll now have more advanced controls; an advantage that PC games often provide.

19 Pause The Game

A small button and functionality that stops time in-game and makes it easy to take deep breaths or stop an impending disaster in its tracks are always welcome input. Because Souls games are quite inconsiderate of other people’s social lives or emergencies.

Thankfully, for Tarnished who have loved ones or pets that seek their attention in the most inopportune moments, the Pause the Game mod can be a lifesaver. It’s not flawless, however, as unpausing will fast-forward animations a bit (as part of the game’s timestep programming) so players should make sure not to pause right before or during a boss’ combo attack.

Old programs like Cheat Engine have always made cheating in highly secure games possible. Fiddling with the software can be tricky, though, and requires a somewhat decent grasp of programming. Some players simply want to add in some extra items, or maybe there are those with new characters looking to speed things up.

The Elden Ring Cheat Table caters to these players because it’s a built-in mod that allows players to obtain items, modify stats, edit item values, or even tinker with other numbers to make certain stuff more powerful, all without the need for Cheat Engine. This one’s certain to get players banned though, so players shouldn’t even think about going online with an account that has made use of it at any point.
