David Goffin falls to 114th place, Zizou Bergs becomes Belgian number 1 again in 108th position

Bergs (24 years old) was eliminated in the first round of the Masters 1000 in Madrid. He had benefited from an invitation after his victory at the Challenger 75 in Tallahassee, Florida, and the final lost in Sarasota a week earlier, still in Florida. After almost two weeks of inactivity, the now Belgian N.1 will compete on Monday in the first round of qualifying for the Masters 1000 in Rome, Italy. He will meet the American Patrick Kypson (ATP 150).

Bad news for David Goffin: the Liégeois skips the Masters 1000 in Rome

Goffin (33), less successful since the start of the clay court season, had to go through qualifying for the Madrid tournament. He was eliminated in the first round against Argentinian Facundo Bagnis, and has not played since. Stuck at the back, he gave up competing in the Challenger 175 in Aix-en-Provence last week, and has not yet announced the rest of his program.

Zizou Bergs and David Goffin are the only two Belgian players in the top 200 following the fall of 17 places by Joris De Loore, now 208th.

In the top 10, the only change is the progression of Andrey Rublev, thanks to his success in Madrid. The Russian moved from 8th to 6th place in the world rankings, relegating Norwegian Casper Ruud and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas to 7th and 8th.

The Serbian Novak Djokovic still dominates the circuit, ahead of the Italian Jannik Sinner, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the Russian Daniil Medvedev and the German Alexander Zverev.
