Classic Activision Franchise Could Be Coming To Xbox Game Pass Soon

Highlights

  • Xbox Game Pass subscribers may soon have access to the beloved Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
  • Recent listings on the Microsoft Store suggest the game could be the next major addition to Game Pass.
  • With Activision Blizzard titles like Diablo 4 already on Game Pass, Crash Bandicoot may not be far behind.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, a highly rated game from one of Activision’s top franchises, may be available for Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC in the near future. The compilation game Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy contains the first three entries of the popular series built from the ground up.

Xbox Game Pass has a vast collection of titles available, which covers everything from platformers to open-world games. Every month, Xbox adds new games to the subscription service, making sure there is always something new to play. It now appears that Crash Bandicoot may be the next major IP to join Game Pass based on a recent development surrounding the 2017 game Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

As spotted by industry watcher Alan Feely, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has recently been listed on the Microsoft Store for PC players. According to Feely, this could mean that the Activision game is on its way to Game Pass, similar to how Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition also joined the subscription service after going live on Microsoft Store. Interestingly, Crash Bandicoot isn’t the first Activision Blizzard title rumored to join Game Pass as Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been rumored for Game Pass since last month.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Could Arrive on Game Pass

Being a compilation game, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy includes upgraded versions of three classic games in the series, namely Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Keeping in mind the recent updates around franchises like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, there are chances that more Activision Blizzard games could follow suit and possibly arrive on Game Pass.

Xbox’s Activision Blizzard takeover from last year brings the promise of the company’s various IPs making their way to Game Pass. Going over the catalog of the Activision Blizzard franchises, the variety and popularity of the games are obvious. With franchises, such as Call of Duty, Fallout, Diablo, Crash Bandicoot, Overwatch, and more involved, the deal is exciting for players of different genres.

It’s worth noting that Xbox has already started bringing popular Activision Blizzard titles to Game Pass. Back in March, dungeon crawling game Diablo 4 joined Game Pass, months after the acquisition was completed. Based on this, it doesn’t seem unlikely for other Activision Blizzard games, be it Crash Bandicoot or Spyro, to eventually end up on Microsoft’s game subscription service.
