Chapter 5 Season 2 NPC Map Locations

Quick Links

Fortnite might’ve removed NPCs when Season OG came along, but ever since Chapter 5 started, they are back to being an important part of the game. There are two types of NPCs in Fortnite Battle Royale, friendly characters that provide helpful services and hostile characters that will shoot on sight. Even though gamers might feel inclined to only approach the friendly folk on the island, both types can be crucial to getting a Victory Royale.

Whether it’s a powerful Olympian Boss or a friendly face looking to follow gamers into battle, this guide will show players where they can go in order to find every non-playable character in the Chapter 5 Season 2 map.

Updated on April 24, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: Update v29.30 brought the Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration to Fortnite. Players can now find various Elemental Bending Techniques on the Battle Royale island as well as various characters from the popular show. Additionally, Brutus was also vaulted, even though he made the cut after the initial removal of known Chapter 2 characters once the Rise of Midas event came to an end. This guide has been updated with six new NPCs: Aang, Zuko, Katara, Toph, Apollo, and Graveheart.

Hostile NPCs and Bosses

There are hostile NPCs on the island as well, but this doesn’t mean that you should avoid them altogether, as most of them have a valuable reward that can impact the rest of the match.

Olympian Bosses

As soon as players start the match, Altars will appear marked on the map. These markers indicate the presence of an Olympian Boss Altar that has not been challenged yet. Each Olympian Boss carries an Aspect of the Gods medallion. There are four medallions on the map, and each of them provides a unique ability that only its carrier can yield. The Olympian Bosses can be found at Mount Olympus, Brawler’s Battleground, Grim Gate, and The Underworld.

These characters have minions who will attempt to protect them, so to avoid losing too much health, players should take them out before trying to defeat the boss. Once defeated, the boss will drop a medallion and a unique Mythic weapon.

Forecast Tower Bosses

On top of this, there are also Forecast Towers on the map near Reclaimed Villa, Restored Reels, Lil’ Villa, Zenith Wall, and Estate Station. Before the second Storm Circle begins to close, three hostile NPCs will spawn near these locations. Players can take them out in order to collect the boss’s Epic-rarity Huntress DMR and secure the forecast, which will allow them to see the next Storm Circle before it’s revealed.

Vault Bosses

Even though the Society vaults were removed from the map at the start of Chapter 5 Season 2, there are still some protected vaults on the Battle Royale map.

Gamers can find vaults near Rebel’s Roost, Estate Station, Coastal Comms, and Unmoored Manor. Here, they must defeat the boss NPC to capture his vault keycard and bring it to the metal vault door in order to open it.
