The Russian entered her fight more quickly, immediately showing a lot of aggression and breaking the distance that the Belgian was trying to impose. Oshin Derieuw, sometimes stuck on the ropes, then balanced the exchanges but a little too late to claim this first round, lost 3-2.
In the second round, the skirmishes followed short and nervous exchanges, from which Moldazhanova most often escaped successfully thanks to a series of hooks. Faster and more precise, the left-hander won this round for all five judges.
In an interesting last stand, Oshin Derieuw then managed to reverse the trend in the third round by further attacking his opponent, who generally suffered from the events.
Following the split decision rendered by the judges (3-2), the two other members of the arbitration panel unequivocally confirmed the verdict favorable to the Russian (5-2).
For Oshin Derieuw, who will be able to learn a lot from this fight, as for Vasile Usturoi who was eliminated as soon as he entered the fray in Belgrade, preparation for the Olympic Games continues.
