Boxing: Devin Haney concedes his first defeat against Ryan Garcia after a completely crazy fight but keeps his WBC super-lightweight belt

The title of Haney, 25, won last December by beating Regis Prograis by unanimous decision, was however not at stake, Garcia having narrowly exceeded the limit of 63.5 kg during the weigh-in.

But, for his 32nd fight, the former undisputed lightweight world champion nonetheless bit the dust: he was knocked down three times by an opponent, a star of social networks, who himself had suffered his first defeat almost a year ago to the day against Gervonta Davis.

At the end of the 12 rounds, one judge gave the two American boxers a tie (112-112), while the other two gave Garcia the winner (110-114, 109-115).
