Best Vehicles In Far Cry 6

Highlights

  • Yara in Far Cry 6 is vast, so choosing the right vehicle is crucial for efficient traversal and battle tactics.
  • From flying tanks to speedy jetskis, the game offers an impressive variety of vehicles to match every playstyle.
  • Fast travel and wingsuits are key tools to quickly navigate the island, but weaponized vehicles add extra excitement to gameplay.

Far Cry 6 takes place in the sprawling island country of Yara. Emphasis on the word ‘sprawling.’ Traversal is unarguably one of the most time-consuming obstacles players will face when playing Far Cry 6. Players eventually have the choice to fast-travel or use their wingsuit to get to where they need to go, but finding a good way to ride around Yara is vital to experiencing its beauty.

The 17 Best Far Cry 5 Mods, Ranked

Far Cry 5 is a great game on its own, but these creative mods add something special to it.

Deciding which vehicle to use can be overwhelming. Far Cry 6 has an enormous variety of vehicles to choose from, and which vehicle best suits a player’s playstyle may differ from person to person, but it wouldn’t be a modern Far Cry game if you couldn’t fly around causing havoc in a helicopter.

Updated on April 27th, 2024, by Jeff Drake: Vehicles play an incredibly important role in open-world games. They are not merely a means of conveyance; the right vehicle can make an almost impossible mission easy, allow the player to zip around the map, or provide weapons that are otherwise unusable by a human – like a tank cannon. Vehicles also let players make a statement to other players if the game is multiplayer, or can help round out the virtaul personality of a customized character. The list below has been expanded with this update, giving even more options to players looking for the best vehicular ways to get around Yara in Far Cry 6.

23 1968 Garin Varona CT

A Flying Tank

The 1968 Garin Vorona CT in Far Cry 6 comes with mounted machine guns and a bulletproof windshield

The 1968 Garin Varona CT is basically a flying tank. It can lay waste to the region, and take a serious amount of damage before it’s rendered unusable. This variant of the Varona comes equipped with a bulletproof windshield and a mounted machine gun for some added toughness.

This vehicle suits nearly every need due to its ruggedness, powerful weapons, and the ability to take off and land vertically. Being able to fly to a destination also greatly shortens travel time. Getting this helicopter requires causing mayhem in urban areas; a tank is the best vehicle for this job. When a 1968 Garin Varona CT arrives to deal with the mayhem, use an EMP weapon to force it to land.

22 ALHV-2

Capable Of Travelling On Land Or Sea

The ALHV-2 hovercraft in Far Cry 6

This tactically useful forced-air hovercraft is capable of traveling over land and sea equally well. Hovercraft have their uses, but in general they try to do too much and wind up being not as good as either a car or a boat. The fact this vehicle can go from sea to land seamlessly, and perform well on both, helps execute missions in difficult to reach areas.

The ALHV-2 also has the benefit of two forward-facing mounted machine guns. This lets the player clear the path when in enemy territory, or while making a hasty getaway. These vehicles will spawn around guerrilla hideouts and similar locations.

21 1963 Hard Top Jengo Warden

An Off-Road Vehicle With A Mounted Machine Gun

The sturdy Jengo Warden off-road vehicle in Far Cry 6

There are miles and miles of roads in Far Cry 6. The game is played on a tropical island dominated by lush jungles and impassible terrain. Areas like this are perfect for the Jengo Warden, which is essentially a type of jeep. This vehicle performs well on paved surfaces, but unlike many land vehicles, the Warden performs well off-road as well.

This variant comes with a turret mounted machine gun behind the driver. This works better with a passenger, but provides a powerful weapon should the driver need to stop and defend themselves. It’s not exactly a sports car, but a sports car isn’t designed to go off-road either.

20 Wingsuit

Glide Quietly To A Destination

Using the Wingsuit to fly around Yara in Far Cry 6

Most seasoned Far Cry 6 players will tell beginners that the best method of travel in Far Cry 6 is to fast travel to an area via aerial drop points, then use the Wingsuit to fly to the destination before deploying the parachute. This is not only faster but gives the player a bird’s eye view of the destination.

The only thing to keep in mind is that the player is extremely vulnerable when flying in the wingsuit. The smallest collision is typically fatal. Just be sure to pop the parachute when the trees start getting close.

19 1998 Sokudo Aquablast Water Foul

A Jetski With Mounted Machine Guns

The Aquablast Water Foul is a jet ski with mounted machineguns in Far Cry 6

When traveling over water, there are few vehicles better than the jet ski, or boatercycle. They are the fastest water vehicle in the game, and handle surprisingly well – for a watercraft, anyway. The drawbacks to the jet ski are they are only built for one person, and they can’t take much damage before being disabled.

The Aquablast Water Foul is a standard jet ski but with twin-mounted light machine guns. The blazing speed, maneuverability, small size, and built-in weaponry make this the go-to combat water vehicle; the only exception being the Salacia RHIB Z-600.

18 Pure Muscle

Get Around Yara In A Classic Muscle Car

Pure Muscle is a Pygmalion SSR variant in Far Cry 6

For players of Far Cry 5, one of the more favored vehicles was the Pygmalion SSR. This car was clearly inspired by the muscle cars of the 1970s; specifically, the Pontiac Trans Am. This vehicle was built for speed, handles well, and has enough power to push through roadblocks.

Pure Muscle is only available with the purchase of the Bad BoyBilly Bundle. This is also about the only reason to buy the Bad Boy Billy Bundle, unless players really, really, want their character to be dressed like a pool lifeguard.

17 1988 Sokudo Mountaineer 4×4 Turbo

Great On Any Terrain

Mountaineer 4x4 Turbo truck in Far Cry 6

“My little mule, Pepe”. Staying on the road is not always an option in open-world games – at least not ones that involve combat like Far Cry 6. High-speed chases (or getaways) can frequently go off-road. For times like that, players will want something that can handle the rough terrain with the ease with which most cars travel on a paved road.

There are many off-road vehicles in Far Cry 6; though, many of those vehicles are designed specifically for off-road driving and are not able to outperform regular cars while on a road. The Mountaineer 4×4 Turbo is equally versatile off-road or on.

16 Yarapunk Street Samurai

Quick And Nimble Street Racer

Street Samurai from the Yarapunk Bundle for Far Cry 6

So many vehicles in Far Cry 6 are vintage autos. There’s nothing wrong with that, but sometimes a player wants to drive something a little sleeker than a sedan from circa 1957. Those players should get the Yarapunk Street Samurai. This is perhaps the most modern-looking car in the game and is one of the best-performing cars available.

Unfortunately, the Street Samurai is not part of the base game. This car is included in the Yarapunk Bundle.DLC, and one of the main reasons to purchase this DLC package.

15 Mogote Zebra

An Exotic Zebra Mount

Far Cry 6 Zerba Mount walking on dirt path

The Mogote Zebra may not be the fastest or toughest vehicle choice, but who doesn’t want to ride around on an exotic animal? There are no offensive or defensive perks to the Zebra, but players can use a sidearm gun or melee weapon while riding, so that’s at least a plus.

The Mogote Zebra is one of the horse variants available in the game and can be obtained during story progression, specifically upon finishing Break the Chains mission. The Mogote Zebra is one of Anton Castillo’s prized possessions, so stealing it for personal use may bring some enjoyment.

14 Croco Taxi

Not Fast Or Rugged, Just Cool

Far Cry 6 Croco Taxi vehicle with Dani

The Croco Taxi is one of the sillier vehicles in Far Cry 6. What the Croco Taxi lacks in speed and overall usefulness, it makes up for in brilliance. It’s a giant crocodile head. And a small taxi. There isn’t much more to be said about how cool this vehicle is, but it is amusingly unique.

Players can find the Croco Taxi at a few different locations around the map, sometimes around the coasts of Esperanza.

13 1956 Beaumont Valentina

A Highly Customizable Vintage Car

Far Cry 6 1956 Red Beaumont Valentina with turret

The 1956 Beaumont Valentina will be the first car that many players come across in Far Cry 6. The Valentina is one of the most weapon-heavy rides; with choices of offensive turrets and rams and defensive traps, this vehicle will keep players well-protected while they travel through Yara.

12 1962 Verrazzano Bravo

A Fast, Yet Sturdy, Sports Coupe

1962 blue Verrazzano Bravo vehicle with white stripes

The 1962 Verrazzano Bravo is one of the more customizable cars in Far Cry 6. This car has ample speed and offensive capabilities. The Verrazzano Bravo can be scanned when found throughout Yara or dropped off at a vehicle pickup point for later recall.

This car can also be obtained as a reward for completing a Gran Premio Race found in Valle De Oro. The Gran Premio Races are one of the many side quests in Far Cry 6 that shouldn’t be skipped, as the rewards can be anything from vehicles to weapon modifications.

11 Unicorn

A Mythical Creature As A Mount

far cry 6 unicorn mount

Besting even the zebra for the most graceful, majestic transport in the game, the Unicorn is a visually fun, amusing ride, to say the least. This mythical creature is naturally not easy to obtain, as players need to tackle the fairly involved Sweet Fifteen Treasure Hunt located in El Este.

Unfortunately, this mythical horse is not able to fly, shoot rainbows from its horn – or really do anything outside the ordinary. No, this one is mostly just for bragging rights and the sheer novelty of being able to say one has ridden a unicorn in an action shooter.

10 Omega Enforcer

A Lethal Military Vehicle

Far Cry 6 Omega Enforcer truck with turret side view

Given the wild, action-packed ride that Far Cry 6 can be, it’s important to have a sturdy, stable vehicle that can be a defensive and offensive presence. These are all areas in which the military-style Omega Enforcer excels.

This vehicle will make players a force to be reckoned with, especially when playing co-op. In this circumstance, the driver can easily plow through enemy units and vehicles, while another can wreak havoc with the strong turret affixed to the top of the truck. Players can gain access to this beast by purchasing the Blood Dragon Set. This content can be unlocked when completing the mission The Guerrilla.

9 Angelito FW Turbo

Seamlessly Go From The Roads To The Sky

Far Cry 6 Angelito FW Turbo flying car going down dirt path

A compact car, aircraft, and grenade launcher all in one, the Angelito FW Turbo is a fast, versatile vehicle is ideal for Dani in countless scenarios. This is useful as players won’t often be able to predict what will happen in the dynamic, wild campaign of FC6. With the vehicle’s ability to take to the streets or skies ‘on the fly,’ players can more easily escape the heat from foes on the ground as well as more effectively dodge anti-aircraft guns.

To get this awesome ride, players must find one and take it to a vehicle or airplane pickup station or scan it with Dani’s handy phone. The areas that have this vehicle are Conjunto Guerilla Hideout in Valle de Oro, Guaracha in El Este, and (simpler but less likely to have it) the Revmira Supply Dock.

8 Salacia RHIB Z-600

An Inflatable Boat With Mounted Guns

Far Cry 6 Salacia RHIB Z-600 boat with turret

Traveling by water can often be a safer, more effective means of travel in FC6 and at times is even required. Thus, having a swift, well-equipped boat at hand is useful, especially this turret-laced watercraft. Both the Gator and ‘MI’ variants are solid, but the latter is especially helpful, as it has a front machine gun and a machine gun turret. This makes it a great co-op option when at sea.

The best place to find this boat is to approach the boat dock that lies south of the Castillo Senora Tobacco Factory, near Costa Del Mar.

7 Senor Pinga

A Tank Always Helps Get The Job Done

Far Cry 6 Senor Pinga pink painted tank and Libertad fighter peace sign

Tanks are usually a solid option when staving off onslaughts of attacks in FC6—especially when Dani’s able to answer back with offensives of their own. That’s where this awesome vehicle comes into play. The Pinga isn’t just a defensive powerhouse, it’s also a force on offense, being laced with a typical cannon, as well as a coaxial machine gun and a machine gun turret.

To get this military-style monster, players should complete the Yaran story ‘Heavy Metal’ within Madraguda.

6 Yami’s 2008 KAG TG

A Customizable Hummer Clone

Far Cry 6 Yami's black 2008 KAG TG with turrets

Yami’s 2008 KAG TG has heavy defense and speed and has mounted turrets on top of the vehicle that the player can use during fights. This battering ram of a car is able to plow through enemy barricades and cars with ease, which can be helpful when running from enemy vehicles.

Players will get this fast, robust truck after completing a mission for Yami, who runs Gran Premio races around Yara. Specifically, it’s a side quest called ‘Backseat Driver.’

5 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP

Get Anywhere Fast In The Kaumbat Helicopter

Far Cry 6 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP Attack Helicopter

The 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP is an offensive helicopter that comes equipped with a machine gun. This vehicle is fast and can take on both cars and other flying vehicles with ease. To fly this vehicle effectively, players should take out the anti-aircraft cannons in the area that they want to fly in, as they can be a real pain in the side when using airborne vehicles.

The Kaumbat helicopter can usually be found around Yara, usually near FND bases or airports. Once scanned or brought back to a vehicle pickup point, players will be able to call on this helicopter from any helicopter pickup location.

4 1956 Beaumont “El Presidente”

El Presidente Castillo’s Vintage Car

Far Cry 1965 Beaumont "El Presidente" vehicle driving on a road

The 1956 Beaumont “El Presidente” is a ride originally belonging to El Presidente Anton Castillo himself. Stealing things from Castillo is a recurring theme throughout Far Cry 6, but “El Presidente” is one of the cooler items the player will get. This vehicle does not have any offensive or defensive capabilities, but it’s pretty to look at!

The player can commandeer this antique of a car during story progression. After a fight with Castillo’s Army, the player will be able to get away with Castillo’s personal car. It can be scored after finishing the Paradise Lost Operation in Esperanza. Driving around in Anton’s luxurious Beaumont makes the player feel like a real dictator.
