Belgian victory in Thailand: Vanja Cnops wins the 56 km of the Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB

Last Saturday, in Thailand, Vanja Cnops, 36, won the 50 K format (56 km and 2850 meters of elevation gain) of the Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB, second edition of the name.

Vanja Cnops, who took second place in the Belgian Trail Championship behind Laura Van Vooren during the Ouftitrailcompleted the distance in 7h25, securing 6th place overall.

A little over 400 participants took part in this distance (104 ladies)

Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB: the results

Already in Asia, Vanja Cnops had finished in 2024 first in the Vietnam Ultra Marathon (49 km and 2380 D +), 4th in the Tarawera Ultra-Trail by UTMB (52 km and 1166 D +) and 2nd in the Vietnam Trail Marathon (70 km and 3000 D+).

At the end of the month, Vanja Cnops will participate in the European Trail Championships which will take place at the MaxiRace Annecy. “It will be a wonderful birthday present, I will be celebrating my 37th birthday the day before!”she told us after the Nationals.
