Belgian Quentin Simon takes 7th place on the Madeira Island Ultra Trail (MIUT)

Already 5th in the Endurance Trail in 2022 as part of the Festival des Templiers, this time he added a 7th place in a prestigious event, completing the distance and the 4700 meters of D + of an island renowned for the percentages of its ribs in 10h15.

”Finishing this race already feels like a victory for me”, he indicated after an event which took place in sometimes difficult weather conditions, as can be the case on the island located in the south-west of Portugal. “I am very proud of my evolution and adaptation over the last few months. I am all the more satisfied as the end of the preparation was complicated with a heavy professional workload the last two weeks before my arrival in Madeira.”

Still during the MIUT, which attracted many Belgian runners, we will again highlight the 10th place of Cédric Hauben (RCB) in the 42 km and the 18th place in the 60 kilometers of Corentin Thiebaux (ESM).
