Fans of the Final Fantasy series may want to check out a new mod for Baldur’s Gate 3, which brings one of video gaming’s most iconic weapons into the game. This new mod was recently published on Nexus Mods and brings Cloud’s infamous Buster Sword into the world of Baldur’s Gate 3, granting players the ability to slay hordes of creatures in an efficient and stylish way. This item will undoubtedly provide Baldur’s Gate 3 fans with even more variety when it comes to weaponry, but be warned, Cloud’s Buster Sword can only be found on board the Nautiloid in the Tutorial Chest.
Mod Adds Cloud’s Buster Sword to Baldur’s Gate 3
This mod is based on a previous mod from user jenix106, with this new take on Cloud’s iconic Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7 Remake being slightly scaled down due to balancing concerns. A few other changes were made to the mod, including removing alternate designs from Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare variants of the item, with the sword now only being available in Rare form. Damage dice have also been edited, being bumped from 2d6 Slashing damage to 3d6 Slashing damage. A new, unique Focused Thrust ability has also been applied to the sword.
Despite the overwhelming success of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios is no longer in charge of the Baldur’s Gate series, with Hasbro handling the franchise as a whole. Unsurprisingly, Hasbro has already confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 4 is coming, though it will be many years before fans see the release of this upcoming entry. Upon release, it quickly became clear just how much freedom Baldur’s Gate 3 gives players, with the character creator being a great example, offering one of the most robust and detailed tools seen in modern gaming.
