Amazon has revealed its slate of free Prime Gaming games for May 2024. This month’s freebies available to Amazon Prime subscribers include Fallout 3 and eight other titles.
While Amazon’s gaming service, bundled with all types of Prime subscriptions, offers a variety of benefits, free monthly games are by far its biggest draw. New freebies are offered every Thursday, with the company usually giving away up to around a dozen titles each month. E.g., Amazon Prime Gaming gave away 13 titles throughout April 2024.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gets New Prime Gaming Bundle
Prime Gaming adds its newest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone bundle that includes an operator skin along with other cosmetic items.
This time around, the platform’s slate of monthly games will include nine titles. The May 2024 list of freebies has no fewer than three AAA releases, including Fallout 3 and the Tomb Raider reboot. Both will be available in their content-complete, Game of the Year Editions. Prime Gaming is the second service to offer Lara Croft’s 2013 adventure to its subscribers today, as Xbox Game Pass also just added Tomb Raider to its content catalog.

The final big-budget title on this month’s list of free Prime Gaming games is LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars. The 2011 action-adventure and Tomb Raider are available to claim right now, with both of them being delivered via GOG codes. LEGO Star Wars 3 is being positioned as part of the upcoming May the 4th celebrations, and will also be available for free streaming via Amazon Luna until the end of the month. Ditto for LEGO Fortnite and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

As per usual, the Luna-specific offerings for May 2024 are only available to Prime members in the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. This month’s free streaming catalog also includes Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and Trackmania. Meanwhile, Fallout 3 and New Vegas are still available to Luna users, and will remain in rotation until October 2024. But since the cloud catalog is inherently ephemeral, even Prime Gaming members who do make use of Amazon’s streaming service will still want to claim Fallout 3 as part of their membership perks once it becomes available on May 9, as it will be theirs to keep forever.
This month’s freebies are partially geared toward casual gamers, not least because they include three hidden object puzzle adventure (HOPA) titles. Another highlight is Nine Witches: Family Disruption, a wacky point-and-click adventure set in an alternate version of WW2, where German scientists accidentally release an ancient curse. Beyond those titles and the self-explanatory Electrician Simulator, Prime Gaming members will also soon get to claim The Forgotten City, a story-driven RPG that started out as a Skyrim mod in 2015 before getting a standalone release six years later.
