It is in this context of increased enthusiasm for hiking that the first edition of theAS Adventure Brussels 60.
A loop around Brussels and around thirty parks
The concept ? A long 60 km hike in a loop around Brussels and which will pass through around thirty parks and green spaces in the capital and its surroundings.
After the AG Belgian Coast Walk, which attracts more than 7,000 participants, this is the second long-distance walking event offered by Golazo.
Departing from the Atomium
The start and finish of the AS Adventure Brussels 60 will take place at the Atomium. Along the way, participants will cross the Laeken Park, walk along the old railway to Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, cross the Sonian Forest and skirt the Ganshoren Marshes.
In addition to the 60 km, a 20 km walk is also on the program.
“Long-distance walking is becoming more and more popular. And we see that the demand for well-organized challenges is increasing”, confirms Greg Broekmans, for Golazo. “The AG Belgian Coast Walk on May 11 already attracts more than 7,000 participants. We also want to offer these participants a new challenge in the fall. Furthermore, there is enormous potential in Brussels. Not only in terms of participants, but obviously also in terms of the route. The greenest capital in Europe lives up to its name. This is an incredibly beautiful loop around the city. All participants will be surprised.”
Registrations for the AS Adventure Brussels 60 began on Wednesday May 8.
