However, a former defender of the Blues, winner of the 98 World Cup, advises Kylian Mbappé to abandon the idea of joining the Spanish capital. For him, the competition will be too disturbing for the Frenchman. “I don't think it would be the ideal place for him. There is already Vinicius on the left wing. There are players who have shown good things like Bellingham. He will not be the number 1 player as he wants.”explains Marcel Desailly on BeIn Sports.
If other big clubs could suit Mbappé, Marcel Desailly thinks that the young Frenchman would have every interest in thinking about business during a “low” year after the Euro. “If we think about the football business, I would go towards 350 million for one year from Saudi Arabia. You come back next season, the year of the World Cup, you will only be 26 years old and you will have played football. What does Mbappé want? He wants to play football!”, explains the former defender of Chelsea and Milan in particular.
