The first flamingos have arrived in Larnaca’s salt lake searching for a warmer climate and food.
Every year thousands of migratory birds including flamingos come to Cyprus to spend the winter.
This event attracts locals and tourists all over the world who visit the salt lake to spot flamingos.
In the coming weeks, the number of birds will increase, as long as it rains and they can feed themselves.
The public can enjoy observing the birds from a distance but are urged not to disturb them by approaching or flying drones over the lake.
